jester is an awful role but i don’t think a vanilla jester counts as bastard
Ah, a Predictor of sorts. Yeah, that uh… I think I already used that before… in the form of Gambler.
I need to make something like this? I guess I’ll try…
a rolecard being false is automatically bastard
even flip tailors
i mean the game was labeled bastard, im not complaining
Wdym?
i did complain post game, but we wont talk about that lol
may answered it
zone thought i was gunna shit on this setup, and I’ve said mostly nice things about this setup as a whole,
I played a game with false flips! We figured it out immediately
this is giving me more credit than i deserve thbthtbhtbhtb
i think at eod2 I was like “this is probably a Bad Idea but maybe we should vote Achro ”
the big problem was the normalizers dying, but I also think a better fix for this was not to have backup normalizer, but to have even and odd night normalizers, of which if one died, the living one would become a regular normalizers for no odd or even night restriction
i kinda think some roles were insanely weak pre normalize, Crescents role comes to mind, and the trio of Frost/May/Tutuu
Crescents role was probably one of the worst roles, and pre normalize, the trio could only replace an invest role, and only one existed, of which their role was weak as well
Regarding the Neutral: I hear you and I agree with you… but [excuse]. So I couldn’t simply not use it.
Excuse
I happened to remember Achro’s paranoia about Potion Vendor being evil in April Showers Overhaul, and I wanted to put that role somewhere, which just happened to be in this game, where it had meshed well with Reserve Doctor.
(Plus, I typically don’t re-use roles I have already used in my previous games.)
As for the poison: Fair enough. I originally had it set to 1-Shot Unlimited-Target, but then Eliza said to tone the targets down to 3 or 5, and I took the extreme course.
so ya, normalizing needed to be prioritized here, and given how weak town was, they needed to build around the chance of them dying back to back
because man, were the town roles weak pre normalize, i think mine was the only decent one lol
May may be too much of a perfectionist pre-review, but I (believe I) am a perfectionist mid- and post-game.
like for example, I dont think bean needed to have a modifier that prevented them from seeing kills, i think being macho was good enough
so u not only made them immune to docs, u nerfed them again lol
Actually, if you think about it, it’s actually fine
No visits is much worse than seeing a visit
Even non killing visits were ignored if the player killed someone that night
u dont need to be perfect, but this normalize was the thing about this game, and it became extremely irrelevant, so town was weak
