I actually dislike Jackal
Very plain and non-skill based role.
Not much strategy. Not much possibilities.
Just adds bastardy elements of enemy within mafia.
Like you cannot chose teammates nor when they become one. You can chose theirs role, but 99% of time you will chose one, cause why leave them as citizen.
You cannot really cooperate with teammates due to lack of chat.
And assassinate is also very straightforward.
Basically a serial killer with bastard elements of mafia chat being infiltrated.

Or at least I remember one where mafia claimed veteran or sth.
Honestly, I\m surprised this game didnāt go all in with jackals or just without them.
Cause you forbid mafia of killing other mafia. Nor you allow for straightforward claim, which shuts down some interesting mess ups.
Like from my pov, it would be more interesting for mafia to kill theirs Jackal member and claim a kill with some fancy claim like vigilante.
Anyway - as per obvious flaws - you need organized order of accepting mafia kills.
In case you have mafia and jackal member left in mafia chat, the goals may be very conflicting, in which there needs to be explanation what happens.
Cause obviously last 2 members will know the other one is jackal and mafia.
There is probably a lot of issues also with stuff like consig, who can target fellow mafia members in order to find a rat.
mostly becauseā¦ if I donāt forbid it then itās just allowed for recruit Mafia to out the entire team if they die which is very dumb.

Iāll rule that it will be Jackal recruit who takes priority.
recruits appear as their original role to consig, not as a recruited version. So consig just canāt find them.
