I wish people knew what I know. I wish others took life seriously and were able to grasp the consequences that come in the future. I will probably have to fight off the battle of depression for a while. Spent close to 8 months campaigning for my state. Even if we failed to vote the president, we knocked on so many doors to inform those about the abortion ban. Then all the effort becomes meaningless as the state not only elects an evil man to run the world, we vote to keep the abortion ban that has already killed several young women just this year in my state. I cried when one mother came to our canvassing event and shared her story, her daughter had passed away due to complications from birth. She was young and doctors knew she would have issues in childbirth. But because they didn’t have enough time for the 6th week, they forced the girl to carry the dangerous pregnancy. I still remember the gut wrenching feeling and the atmosphere at the event, and how much we all cared to make change in this country. I don’t even have to think of the millions of minorities he has threatened to deport, the millions of Palestinians he has promised to kill, everything about tonight has killed me inside. I thought change was possible, but I just don’t want to be around everything else in this world of ours.

Any progressive who didnt vote, or decided to vote someone other than Harris should feel shame. I have personal hate for anyone of that group. I fought so hard for people, and to lose partially because some people didnt want to put their ego to the side for a minute destroys every part of my soul.

The abortion measure got 57% but after the felon re-enfranchisement amendment passed, the state legislature just went ahead and raised it to 60% and made it so they can’t vote until they pay back fines which is not what the ballot measure said. They just rat fucked the people. The GOP filed a motion to not give predominantly black polling places in GA that had to close due to bomb threats extra time to stay open equal to the time they had to close. It’s just been like this for years, ratfuckery up and down, and the Dems’ strategy was calling for bipartisanship.
Maybe Harris should have run a better campaign. It’s the candidate’s responsibility to earn votes.
Third party votes are unlikely to make up the difference at this rate.
