do what i do and read history of the time period/thing you are trying to emulate and then branch off that, idt that applies here tho
Also just accept that the setting will suck and you’ll be playing it by ear, focusing on what interests your players
That’s how I DM
I never get to have fun (you still have lots of wiggle room)
This seems very interesting
cereal strike is canon
Cereal strike is bullshit I hate it
Ping me if/when sign-ups open
ill play too!
small progress update
i’m making slow and steady progress to reach a point where i feel comfortable with opening it for signups
i’m at least 25% of the way there, i think? to being able to open for signups, i mean
if you want to help me, could you privately message me with ideas for town rooms and stuff. like “aquarium” or “sewage storage plant” (neither of these are presets ingame)
errr a preset is a room i’m designing before the game, and one that you can travel to outright without me having to make it on the spot
tentative, but i may have good news if everything goes the way i have planned it to
i have good news yes
i should be able to confidently get this out sooner
Now that i think about it atlas does kind of give boss baby
GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROLEPLAY THREAD
- done
- working on it
- um. we’ll get back to that.
- almost done
- i’m going to rephrase a bit so you know what your main tasks are, but leaving other things intentionally vague
- that just comes from rooms, but i’d like to say since i decided on a world it’s been better
- irrelevant to this game
you can still carry stuff. it’s just not as if there’s plenty of things to carry
Dumb question: is the main gameplay loop an “every day, you enter a room to collect the material, chaos ensues, have things about you change at end of day as a result of chaos, and make sure you have enough total stuff at end of week”?
…i’m just gonna rewrite that whole paragraph.
