World's Finest - GAME OVER ASH WINS

@Aleph @Daeron @Ash @Marshal @Squirrel2412 @Zone_Q11

Round 1 resolution:

Cursed Soul is holstered

Power U is holstered

Ishmael and Daeron make the following deal via Devils Bargain:

Ishmael attacks Ash for 32 and defends for 31

Daeron defends for 79

Ash attacks Marissa for 87

Marissa attacks Zone_Q11 for 7 (4 damage due to Parasite), Burns 4 to send the mutation to Ash, defends for 35

Squirrel attacks everybody for 4, defends for 60

Zone_Q11 attacks Daeron for 41, defends for 20, stockpiles 9 energy

Ishmael has 31 shields and takes 4 incoming damage. Takes no damage

Daeron has 79 shields and takes 45 incoming damage. Takes no damage

Ash has 0 shields and takes 36 incoming damage. Takes 36 damage

Marissa has 35 shields and takes 91 incoming damage. She is immune to combat damage due to Chrono Shield. She is set to take 56 Burn damage the next round. Ash would be the person receiving Parasite unless she takes more damage from somebody else

Squirrel has 60 shields and takes 0 incoming damage. Takes no damage

Zone_Q11 has 20 shields and takes 8 incoming damage. Takes no damage

Marissa Burns for 4 and gives Ash this mutation:

As Daeron took no damage this round, he may not Attack or use powers to directly deal damage next round due to this mutation:

Round 1 ends, Round 2 begins now (when I write it out)

Round 2 starts!

Ishmael: 63 HP, 63 Energy

Daeron: 79 HP, 79 Energy

Ash: 51 HP, 51 Energy

Marissa: 36 HP, 36 Energy

Squirrel: 80 HP, 80 Energy

Zone_Q11: 70 HP, 79 Energy

Daeron’s Quasi-stellar Obliterator triggers next. Here are the two bad mutations:

(these might be subjective to resolve the rulings of when interacting with other powers so feel free to ask how I’d resolve them)

Daeron chooses one for himself and gives one to another player

Next, Daeron can choose to activate Cursed Soul

Next, Ishmael can choose to activate Power U

Next, Ishmael can choose to activate Devils Bargain

After all of that everyone’s actions are resolved

Ishmael activates Power U!!!

(its mandatory that you listen)

Her Devils Bargain ability:

is upgraded as follows:

Wdym “everyone”? 32/36 damage was from Ishmael.

Ah, well. At least I ended up not incurring the wrath of Marissa. Blessing in disguise… I suppose.

I’m going to rule that this doesn’t circumvent deals made by Devils Bargain, as that binds the players themselves (the pilots), not their actions (their “mechas”)

It says “actions”, not “powers”. So I’m going to rule that powers might still be stolen; interacted with. But rather, the actions - what you submit - that will be the one that will be unaffected

Hopefully nothing breaks?

The clone counts as another “player”. It submits actions as a separate player. If the original body of the player dies, the clone can still win the game for the player

Hopefully nothing breaks

would be willing to officiate if i get the right price

Yes, you would just take normal combat damage, if you had Null Field and Chrono Shield at the same time

There is a degree of subjectivity in ruling this, if you taking Null Field now would cure you of your incoming Burn from Chrono Shield last round

Since Chronoshields reads - you take burn on the next turn, and you didn’t have Null Field while Chrono Shield resolved this effect. It’s like, this incoming damage stacked up in a pile, like a guillotine over your head. You didn’t have Null Field then. So I think there is argument to be made for either way - Null Field negating your assigned Burn damage, or not. I’ll ask Willow. If she can’t answer I … I don’t know. I can ask an unbiased person, a third party, who doesn’t know about the game or who’s playing

(I’d rather not make a decision myself since I might be biased, and sadly I wasn’t here as a host from the start; I wouldn’t have made that mutation if it were up to me)

Actually no, let me correct. It also says “you”

I’m going to rule that: If Daeron or Ishmael get this mutation, it won’t break their existing deal

But whoever gets this mutation next - they are unable to be part of any future deals with Devils Bargain
