Creature - If I’m being real he’s probably town…literally both mafia games he just flat out no showed majority of it. Only reason it’s not confident is incase he decided to take this game as the game that he tryhards as wolf, but won’t be voting today either way.

This is not a good reason to townread someone.

I’m not letting you do the fucking thing Arctic told you that you do (which you do, in fact, do). You are not allowed to bottom your way into losing forum mafia this game. You are going to make offense with your votes. They’re going to be meaningful.

Only actions which are “against the flow” of the game meaningfully constitute playing it, i.e. only non-bottom actions are playing forum mafia. If you only vote for people who look like they’re going to get executed, you are basically not voting.

The mafia exist and will make changes and agitate the solution of this game until its general state is favourable to them. If the village do not push against things, then when the particulate has all settled the village will be losing. Your job is to not let that happen. If you follow what seems like settled science you will lose

Okay like certain things Leafia says makes sense, like calling the Creature vote on Chomps opportunistic I could see what she was coming from there, the Soweli “brownnose” scumread can see where she could be seeing that as well.

The Ishmael “jester claim” and pushing on it is a bit meh because does she really think that they would claim jester to avoid elimination at the very start of the game?

But looks like she really believes in the Creature scumread…so might negate the negative thoughts on her Ishmael scumread and I could list her in my towns.

I like Brad’s way of hinking things through here so slight townlean.

@tutuu Explain why the fuck you wanted to vote one of your townreads because “you didn’t want to vote somebody less active” when there’s a lot of inactive players on the playerlist. What made the alternatives bad candidates for execution, or Ishmael a better candidate for execution?

Good question. Especially since I’m not only at the bottom of Tutuu’s readlist and I haven’t been particularly active.

I forgot about spookycat’s existence; SDA explicitly gave an inactivity excuse. Brad and Leafia have low post counts but they’re making reads so I didn’t include them. It’s not the post count that was my complaint it was lack of reads

This one I think? (First readlist i found and I don’t really like it) particularly like the latter half feels weird which could mean thee upper half is weird, like I’m vaguely ok with you being up there; unsure about leaia but then chomps & derps both seeed fine… and then like ishmael just doesn’t feel on the same level as brad and while that could be a “one has posted + formatting issue” it just.

like yeah they explained it in #254 & i probably could argue against the specific traits but just like looking at it feels wrong

I’m almost certain Creature isn’t a villager here with how they treated my slot. Creature is the best D1 exe I think.

I think Spooky prefers playing town, and is therefore a bit more likely to slank as wolf (this was definitely true when comparing Spooky’s activity in the hydra games we played), but I searched our DMs and couldn’t find them saying that so I might be making that up

The difference between the hydra games could also be Spooky just being tired of rolling wolf at the moment, rather than an overall trend (before Zone’s testament, Spooky had rolled wolf a lot of times)

“Worse reception as town than as mafia” is imprecise and IMO is the kind of thing you need to justify with a cause. Why does she have a worse reception as town than as mafia? Is she lower effort (we’ve discussed this, no), does she give less confident or more unconventional reads, is she more combative, is it the effect of mafia not pushing her as an easy misexecution, etc.

Like what “reception” somebody gets is influenced very heavily by the other players in the game so you can’t really cite it as alignment-indicative unless you can point to what causes that reception I think it’s kind of bunk
