ANYWAY. Now that that’s over with.

@tutuu Explain why the fuck you wanted to vote one of your townreads because “you didn’t want to vote somebody less active” when there’s a lot of inactive players on the playerlist. What made the alternatives bad candidates for execution, or Ishmael a better candidate for execution?

@Ash What do you think of the post I made about you? The one that says you’re either a wolf or osmebody whose village game has progressed? Do you think your village game has progressed, and if so, why, or am I wrong, and is this in line with your past performances, in your opinion?

@Creature Have you been enjoying this game so far compared to the average mafia game? Has your enjoyment or lack thereof affected your motivation to play? Do you think you’d be having more or less fun if you were a wolf and why?

Crucially, you don’t have to actually feel confident in this vote, I don’t care if you think I know better than you, I still want you to control my vote. It changes how everybody else behaves around it.

@Marluna I believe your roleclaim, genuinely, I think this is some stupid Zone prank. The name of the game is Wrogn, after all. I don’t really have any questions for you. I don’t think there’s alternate wincons, Zone is very by-the-books on following the letter of site rules (despite his desire to break their spirit) and I think that’d have to be announced. Probably. Oh actually I do have a question: do you legit still wolfread Ash, and if so, is it more than you wolfread Creature, or did you just leave your vote there?

@Aleph I don’t like how you’ve been playing the game and I refuse to reward it. VOTE: Aleph. This is nothing like your village games, you put in effort in those. My vote is stuck here unless SirDerpsAlot moves it or you make a post or set of posts which collectively take up half my laptop screen with just text (this is about two paragraphs, my laptop is small)

I’m reevaluating what to do at the moment

When I wrote that post, I did it because of some combination of varying influence from all of these factors:

  1. I wanted to make my vote useful and I disliked all wagons

  2. I don’t like how much more effort Ishmael puts when she gets mafia role pm compared to when she gets town role pm. A lot of players act like that and it’s frustrating. It’s like those children who play public amongus lobbies and leave when they don’t get Impostor because they get bored. It’s not just Ishmael, it’s other FoLers too. A lot of forum mafia players as a whole do this

  3. I wanted her to post more. She reacted with sarcasm towards you scumreading her but then did nothing other than a scumread on Leafia. If people are going to react with sarcasm towards something they didn’t like you’d think because it’s ridiculous. They think it’s ridiculous. But if she thinks her getting scumread is ridiculous then that’s ridiculous because she hasn’t tried to be towny

  4. I forgot about spookycat’s existence; SDA explicitly gave an inactivity excuse. Brad and Leafia have low post counts but they’re making reads so I didn’t include them. It’s not the post count that was my complaint it was lack of reads

I don’t think I’ve improved as much as town as you’re giving me credit for. A lot of my posting that you’re considering to be “mid-game Ash” was a mix of trying to get the ball rolling through a reads list and then me getting into a fight with my parents over the computer and making it everyone else’s problem. I’ve definitely improved as a town player - contrasting my D1 in this game with my D1 performance in the disastrous Paradox Hazard very much indicates this, and I’m a lot more comfortable writing up reads lists than I was at the start of the year - but I’d file my performance less as confidence and more as annoyance.

Ishmael is very much capable of wolfing. She knows what is the standard expectation of a townie to post.

I think that Ishmael is a lot like beancat.

If she’s playing like a standard textbook normal townie - she’s mafia. If you have no idea what she’s doing - she’s town.

“Having no idea” is an exaggeration - I’m not speaking from my PoV. I’m talking about how she’s received from others.

I haven’t played much with Ishmael but I don’t think of her as a low-effort villager who only plays the game as mafia? IDK where you’re getting this. Can you pull up sources

As town:

She posted under post requirement in Kakegurui D1 before trying to vig a wolf and dying N1. We didnt get a chance to see her play but she was unbothered with explaining herself or anything. I townread her for it and I got questions from other players for doing do

Other than that, she was mischopped in this game:

I don’t know what happened in this game, and I’m not blaming her without having read it. I just know that she wasn’t received well. She is received worse as town than when she is mafia

Update: I just skimmed her ISO there and she did put higher effort. So maybe I am wrong on the effort part. I think, still, she gets a worse reception as town than as mafia. I have no reason to think otherwise at the moment

Like I think you have to remember that people are very susceptible to small influences changing their behaviour wildly. And I don’t think “this person knows how to play townsounding as wolf, but they haven’t done so yet in the first half of the first day” is compelling townread shit

Side note: this was peak comedy because Chomps literally just sent her message back the same way he got it, and that was enough to kill her.
