Rules:

  1. Follow the Forum Game Rules.
  2. Post a minimum of 10 game related posts per active phase.
  3. Fail to heed the former rules more than twice, and you will be subbed out or modkilled.
  4. Hosts have the privilege to add and/or remove rules in the future, except the first rule.

General Mechanics

  • This is a closed setup. A vast majority of the roles in this setup can be found in the Mafia Universe Role Database.
  • Day Phases last 48 hours unless majority is reached early. Night Phases last 24 hours.
  • All actions must be submitted in your classcards / role PMs.
  • Mafia members may only communicate through Discord during both phases.
  • Factional attacks are optional and assigned.
  • Passive abilities can be roleblocked.
  • Only players with abilities belonging to the informative type (according to Mafia Universe) will be informed if any of their abilities were roleblocked or redirected.
  • Action deadline is two hours before phase change.
  • The host will announce when XYLO occurs. Roles are hereby not taken to account.
  • The game starts when the player list is fully filled.

Special Mechanics

Anti-Claim Mechanic: 2-Shot Vanilla-izer

Vote Mechanics

  • Use the latest voting format.
  • Plurality: Whoever has the most votes at the end of a phase will die.
  • Majority: At any point during day phase, whoever has >50% of all votes will die.
  • In case of a tie, a random player within the tie will be executed.
    –unless [No Exe] is also tied, in which case [No Exe] will take priority.
  • [No Exe] is a valid vote, and may be hammered to end the day early.
  • Self-votes are considered valid votes.
  • Votes are locked in LYLO.

do PMs only contain role names?

No. They contain the correct alignment, role description, and win condition.

Only the role names are incorrect.

so… how is this different from only alignments flipping?
is it that rolecops and the like would get incorrect results? do the mafia need to guess the role name as well as the actual ability?

Potentially false role investigative results, and other than that… well. I suppose players are free to speculate as to what the true role names are based on the false role names.

It depends on the wording of the Role Cop’s description. (Assuming there is one in the game.)

For the anti-claim, the Mafia would have to guess the true ability’s description. If the role presented as X to the public, but is described as Y to the actual player, then the Mafia would have to guess Y (i.e., the actual role).

For anything else: “It depends on the wording.”
