Hello, everybody. It’s been a while since I’ve played like this. I’m excited to get back into it.
Unfortunately, I must admit I think joycat are towny. They’re not afraid of attention in the slightest in a way that wolves are generally opposed to, and they generally feel like they’re “challenging” thread in a way that, while irritating, doesn’t feel like it comes from a wolf.
Specifically, these posts, alongside their general demeanor, read to me a player who isn’t afraid of being the center of attention. They encourage others to read them, which is something town generally want, as it informs their perspective, and something wolves tend to avoid, because being nullread is a comfortable and flexible position.
It’s also towny of PrincessAbigail to immediately open with excitement at randing town. It feels organic. Obviously, such excitement can be faked, but because it takes into account past emotional context, it’s not something that can be done formulaically. It’s harder to think of as a wolf.
Wanting to get N1ed, as well, is another second-order town thought that takes some work to think to fake. Either of these two things alone might be something one could happen upon, but in combination, I find them indicative of a good town mindset.

Joycat still wolfy
Her Royal Princess thinks the exact opposite. Ignoring the first post, given that is NAI, the second post is rather weird, no? It’s bringing attention to there slot early game when they’ve done nothing in a nothing burger way. lso, her princess thinks your profile is adorable.
Why is that unfortunate?
I see
Correct, her princess claims. You’re a loyal subject to the monarchy and henceforth the Princess’s most trusted, regal knight.
Loyalist

- Abbi
- Kiiruma
- Icet
Traitor
- TuTuu
- JoyCat
What do you mean, ignoring the first post? I don’t think it’s fully non-alignment-indicative: obviously, any singular post can be faked, but that doesn’t mean no post is alignment indicative.
Joycat bringing early attention to their slot is weird, it’s out of touch with the reality of the thread, but it isn’t weird in a way that benefits wolves over town. Wolves don’t want attention, town do. The fact that joycat are unafraid to post in a way that makes people focus on them, even when that focus is not warranted, is precisely what I find so towny.
I am not fond of hydras in non-hydra games. I am also not fond of people who say in fifteen posts what could have been one.
I find the fact that PrettyPrincess is so quick to townread me unusual, but I have trouble seeing through what is her apparent gimmick and what is legitimate.
Additionally, I find the way that she immediately moved off of joycat when challenged overly skittish, and I dislike the way she seems to come into posts with pre-conceived notions of what is or is not a tell:
This post seems like it is trying to apply a formula to mafia. She arbitrarily declares the first post non-alignment-indicative and disregards it, and then declares the second post wolfy, despite the fact that there is no real wolf motivation to make it.
Town tend to have more organic thoughts which take into account context, rather than reading like… a set of rules which are applied to a player. There is no set of rules for mafia by its nature as a player-versus-player game. Pretending there is, however, makes it very easy to fake reads despite not genuinely having thoughts.

Another thing I noted down and forgot to mention: I dislike the fact that her second-to-opening post was a read list. It’s putting the cart before the horse, so to speak.
Similar to the tell of treating mafia like it has a set of rules, posting exclusively a readlist allows one to apply a formula to lying, rather than having to go through the trouble of faking complex thoughts. It’s like she came up with the read list before coming up with the reads themselves, and the way she introduced the joycat vote follows that.

this, even with the post below, doesn’t feel like it’s coming from a solving mindset (“who cares”)
this has… self-conscious vibes? mainly the “i just felt the need to comment on it” feels like that
i wouldn’t mind this if it was just a random vote, but the wording suggests that it’s real
plus it also has that apathy about solving from the first post

Her princess never claimed that.
Her princess considers this strange. It isn’t attention on the slot, they’ve posted nearly nothing so far. It’s trying to make heads of horseshoes and get an early game read on there slot; most likely town since they’re the top poster. Are you a loyalist, or are you not? If you are, you should start acting like one.
This is completely non allignment indicative for her majesty, she has a tendency to be right when it matters least and wrong when it matters most. Please ask players with experience playing with such a great being as her for proof of this.
She moved off since there was another more wolfy post. Did you even look at context, or did you decide she was evil from her first post?
Yes, there is wolf motivation. It establishes a town read/lean on the slot quickly and the motivation is the exact argument there making. Whats wrong with bringing attention to a slot with nothing to call wolfy, given nothing has been posted so far?
Her princess thinks this is rather confusing, given you are blatently not doing it. She is using context for everything, you’re deciding by a binary code that if you bring attention to your own slot they’re not good. Rather interesting, no?
Congrats, you have now suspected a player for producing content. Effectively, at that.
May you please apply your own words to your thoughts? I think that might help!
Her princess claims this is TWTBAW, the post never comes from a wolfie mindset but more a bored town in her eyes. Or, it has the possiblity of doing so.
Her princess agrees with this, at the very least
Her princess also agrees with the reasoning on this.
The Royal Process of Traitor Killer
Joycat → Otterpod → TuTuu
mmmmmmm why was asking “explain” more wolfy
