I have, like, three:

  • My BofA debit card (need to set it up)
  • My Apple Card (this is the one I use regularly to build credit history)
  • My Capital One card (in case the Apple Card doesn’t work)

you can do online-only if you don’t value going to a branch

like tbh I’d still be with them even if they didn’t have any branches in Arizona

and they actually have none in Tucson, I’d have to drive to Phoenix if I needed to go in-person

I like having that option but if you’re zoomer enough to go full digital the MBD sub-brand doesn’t require anything be done in-person

if you aren’t planning on getting a loan in the near future, you should always pay off the statement amount within a few days of your statement closing date - you want every dollar reported on your statement before you pay it off

if you are planning on getting a loan within the next few months, start paying off your full balance the day before your statement closing date - you want every dollar paid off before it is reported on your statement, so your statements report back $0 owed
