I remember a player (Luka? catbae?) saying bystander is like me when it comes to “townreading whoever townreads them”, and it’s fortunate that the similarities end there. Because I am much worse than them.

thunderstorm i think is blatantly in her wolf meta; she does nothing but hellbuss as mafia which implicates bystander here if thunderstorm mafia; she is rigid / stubborn and repeats the same things in a loud and somewhat abrasive tone until villagers just listen and then she just wins. as town she (always?) gets suspected and mischopped, never as mafia. i am also 0/9 in my accuracy streak of reading her, which is why ive decided to have the genius idea to reverse my read on her and see if thats the way to adapt my perception of her to try to coexist with her

Vampire Masq I hard defended my teamate. This is old meta, @arctic can confirm it.
Weird read given it’s mostly on the basis of me being strongarmed, which I’m not usually as mafia; I can be very flippy floopy and only strong arm actual pushes I would agree with as town.

this hood stuff is all quite funny to me

i think there is 1 wolf max in this hood just from socials. and if there is one i kinda think it’s frostwolf. he sounds kinda similar to stellaris - he’s been fairly inoffensive so far, trying to seem helpful by adding random bits and pieces here and there, but there’s usually a lot more pizazz and assertiveness as town. he hasn’t found a scumread he believes in yet. he was wickerbottom for the first part of the anon game, and there’s a pretty stark difference right? he wasn’t in it for long but he was playing like a chad. he hasn’t said why he stole this fish, either

arctic is town, admittedly i havent seen his wolf game but he has been obvious town every game ive played with him, i talk to him almost every day so id like to think i can understand him very well. the desire to improve game quality read as genuine to me, the ways he went about it felt like town to me, the effort that he put into it specifically. could save himself some effort if wolf and just claim to desire to do the thing but he went above and beyond; for early d1 its satisfactory for me to town him

Doing town off of meta when you haven’t seen said users wolf game is nearly always poor. I also don’t get why exactly you’re TRing effort, I do agree that the desire to improve game quality reads genuine, but I also think that it’s strictly NAI, given he wants to dot hat even if he’s wolf or town.

note: i am relying on my fellow players to alert me if esk is not relatively new to mafia. which seems to be catbae arctic bystander and luka , as esk seems to have played some MU games. the onus is on you to let me know if im wrong, or if theres any relevat information about esk that the entire table is missing

FWIW Luka scumread me because I also focused on my role as mafia as well in Vampire Masuerades. (Pretty sure another player also townread me for focusing on mech though. Arctic?)

Explaination: I have a pet fish in the neighborhood chat that can be stolen. It doesn’t do anything and is just there to add flavor but it dies if out of its container for more than one day. The only way that I can get it back is if the one that stole the fish dies.

Did you say their was incentive if you steal the fish? Did you explain that it was purely flavor before hand?

i do not know how to parse leafia pushing frostwolf because he stole the fish but i do not think it is AI unless the fish is just flavor and has zero mechanical relevance - but that doesn’t seem to be the case, because even if it’s effectively just some kind of item or item vendor thing the notice that it was stolen already gives it a mech role, so?? i can see leafia pushing frost here regardless of her alignment

I want Leafia to answer my questions, but I’m a bit confused why they take the fish angle that they’re taking if they’re a wolf at all. I think it would be more reasonable to say it’s some sort of mechanical protection and by Frost taking the fish he’s a wolf, framing him for that. Leafia deciding to push Frost for nearly only flavor when she can easily frame them is more good than evil.
