It’s actually interesting to reflect on myself.
As evil, I never reveal my role because I can lie all I want about it in future day phases. (Especially in closed rolemadness, where I can lie for literal days.)
As town, I also never reveal my role if it’s “good”. Otherwise, with me not knowing what to do with my role and me getting bored, I always figure it’s easier to just show my hands and let other people decide what to do with it.
