if i never get an ace:

  1. keep hitting on anything hard up until hard 16 (including hard 16)
  2. stand on hard 17+

else, if i ever get an ace:

  1. stand on soft 20 and soft 21

if i can’t:

  1. keep hitting up until soft 18 (including soft 18)
  2. stand on soft 19+
