Bland & Flavorless Mountainous 15er - Mafia Winnered

wolf/wolf

by the way, do you actually know May or were you two just trolling? because i would quite like to know if it is bullshit, seeing as if it is, the entire shtick you’ve been pulling the entire game is incredibly wolfy

VOTE: Magnus

@Magnus what caused you to change your read between these two posts?

no i actually know may. if i didn’t and just coordinated with them before the game it’d have been incredibly lucky to have just happened upon the first person receptive to my bits lmao

lmao i want to townread this
it’s so out of left field but if i understand correctly it’s rooted in paranoia from zorvo’s incessant distancing habits which could point to arete being a wolf with him (i don’t agree, but i think given jarek’s experience with seth this thought is fine for him to have)

i think i’m at something like

varying levels of town: arete, neon, jarek, molly, prisma
varying levels of wolfy: zorvo(?), eliza, may, magnus

which for anti-aligning reasons i stated earlier feels probably wrong. but then again i don’t have reads on like half the game yet so i feel like this is unavoidable

@Zorvo why do you townread Neon? these were your only posts about them and I don’t really understand how you end up on a townread from this

I’d like to have the kind of psychic mindmeld that would enable us to recall facts about the other’s previous, non-public games while trolling. That would be impressive.

For the record, I’ve seen town Seth in a few recent games, and he is very often right. I don’t understand people who say he’s completely incomprehensible or has no underlying logic - I usually find him predictable and easy to follow.

My agreeing with him in this case is a combination of a few factors -

  1. As I mentioned earlier, Arete is doing exact the same thing as you are, but I’m not getting town pings from them. I couldn’t tell you why.

  2. Zorvo, someone I find towny, is already voting them, and I generally think his instincts have more merit than people give them credit for.

  3. Encouraging wagons and opinions and 1v1s is very good for the gamestate, and Zorvo specifically tends to have strong opinions that yield a lot of material to analyze.

  4. Arete’s response to Zorvo seems primarily concerned with defending themselves, in a way that’s like… they see it as an argument to win, and the winstate is everyone else wolfreading Zorvo. It’s the sort of thing Molly was doing to me on early days in GOAT^2, and I missed that tell.

read up a bit during break
I’m on post #55 lol

feel comfortable popping a vote on Zorvo
VOTE: Zorvo

also, I didn’t really have the energy yesterday because I was sleepy so I’ll do this now and we can pretend this was my first post:

YAAAAHHH MOUNTAINOUS!!!

Arctic Said the Following: (sorry I lost the quote to it.)

feel like this is probably villagery? for wolf prisma to have the thought that they would only vote at eod, it would have to be for some tactical/strategical reason to gain an advantage, so i think them contradicting this is villagery

My Response: This is a reach read IMO.

Me, Magnus and May are Obvious Town.

[quote=“Arctic, post:311, topic:3686”]

Something that you should realize cause I also got a bit of a lower read from Molly. It isn’t anything concrete but yeah I would say it be Rand W more then T if I had to GTH.

It’s funny that my town reads are being called wolfy as am I.

Yeah thought someone who eventually bring that up.
I skimmed through some of their later posts and there was some meta talk and I was seeing some things I remember Neon doing in their town game and didn’t do in my wolf game with them.

Well I’m town and have a solid case on Arete and you should vote Arete instead.

I’m still not sure on Jarek.

I think he can be in either meta right now, either alignment.

@Lemonfairy

Yo did you take a look at my Arete case yet?
I can quote it for you if you want.

What made you vote me btw?
Previous Point made by someone? (Elaborate)
Sheeping a player? (Scream Sheep)
Your own reasoning (Elaborate)
For Fun (Start posting Cat GIF’s)

It means you’ve been interacting a bunch.

Would you believe me if I said that was a typo?
But really, what I did say and what I am saying are two different reads.

At first I construed Molly’s posts as solving. On reflection, Molly has only really commented or been helpful; derpclear Prisma, explains in a follow-up post; votes Otter, says they’re doing better… and nothing else. Really, it looks like Molly’s floating.

I repeat (If Arete is a wolf this PoE contains at least 1 if not both wolves), Jarek/Eliza/Arctic/Prisma.

@Magnus

Hey so you invited Prisma here.
What’s your current stance on them?
Now look at it again from the perspective Prisma/Arete are aligned wolves, does their behaviour make sense, cause to me it does.

Thanks. I appreciate it.

The reason people say my logic is flawed is just cause they don’t understand it yet don’t bother to go through it properly.

In that one game I was right on Vulgard and no one listened.
In a recent game sure I voted Neon for distancing and now all people are talking about is

“Ooooooo Zorvo can be bussing Arete”
When they should be saying
“Zorvo might be right on Arete here like he was on Vulgard”.

But nope, no one has said this.

I was talking about Forum Mafia in their vicinity once, and they wanted to see what it’s like. This is exactly how I’d expect someone to act in their first game, although Prisma’s doing better than I expected. :tada:

This was a level zero vote.

(In response to Molly.)

First of all, I’m willing to believe Prisma wouldn’t want to vote their own partner on the first day, I don’t know how experienced they’d be with bussing, but I’m not confident in that read. Newbies behave in unpredictable ways.

I think this paranoia looks alright in a vacuum, FM is all about asking questions and Prisma might just be doing that.

There we go.

I can’t tell if this is sarcasm.

Anyway, through an independent lens, Prisma comes across as a struggling new player with healthy, albeit unjustified, paranoia and a tendency to ask questions. This comes across as rand>v in light of the alt statement and all that.

I get it, you’re asking about Prisma’s connection with Arete for POE reasons. I’ll take a look.

First of all, Prisma’s barely interacted with Arete this game (although that’s understandable). Prisma voted Otter, complained about Molly also voting them, had a back-and-forth with Aro about game-stuff, and same with me…

I can’t read this interaction, and it’s the only one the two of them have.
It’s worth noting that Prisma would’ve read Arete’s wallpost to find this question, which should suggest they’re either reading thoroughly (impressive for a first game), or it’s undue focus.
…Or not. Prisma was pinged.

Prisma isn’t mentioned in this readlist, and was only mentioned in the previous post which didn’t really explain Arete’s thoughts on their slot? “Probably Town from stats, but not really Towny… but do I townread them or scumread them? :person_shrugging:”. Ignoring a partner is something wolves might tend to do, but there’s no hard-and-fast rule and Arete very easily could’ve decided there wasn’t enough to read Prisma on.

Conclusion: certainly possible from missing links, not anywhere close to being a certainty.

Coached?
Potentially by Arete?

Remember when they first posted the first post they seen/was showed was my Arete case I gave them that they decided to not comment on if I remember correctly.

I think out of the 4 it looks like this from Arete’s partner equity.

Highest of Chance
Prisma
Eliza
Arctic
Jarek
Lowest of Chance

Maybe switch Eliza and Arctic, not sure yet.

Coaching is always a possibility, everyone here has more experience than Prisma. I would be more surprised if they weren’t being coached than if they are as Mafia.

…Okay, that looks suspicious. I already said w!Prisma wouldn’t want to vote their partners early on, and here Prisma goes out of their way to avoid acknowledging your case on Arete, voting Otter for an unrelated reason.
