This one was pretty transparent.
Though checking the rest of ISO, does some questionable stuff. But, getting used to Zorvo and this seems the norm for Zorvo.
information is meaningless without thought.
I propose the no exe today and today only to allow everyone to speak freely at the beginning, voice their reads without the thought “what if i get pushed today for this” which leads to trapped town lashing out as if they were a cornered beast. Nobody wins in that situation except those with anti-town wincons
feels a bit stiff but it’s Jarek so probably NAI
got a mindmeld
Magnus, are you town this game?
have I finally succeeded in reading you?
in addition
it gives everyone time to stew on their reads during the night to ensure day 2 a mafia will be hung day 2.
All day 1 reads are heat-of-the-moment emotional arguments, of which it gets us nowhere. Now if you will excuse me, I have other matters to attend to for the rest of my evening
Wow.
As, I think Arete, pointed out, no-exing today will leave one additional potential suspect alive come XeLo. Is it standard to no-exe D1 on your Discord?
Neutral killing.
you imply that this changes d2
In a consequence-free situation there is zero motivation for scum to do anything. It is only the threat of being voted or the reward of potential misvotes that drives evils to do all but the most basic of tells.
This is mountainous. Executions and voting are the game. Any day phases during which we do not at least pretend to play the game are as meaningless as signup thread chatter. If you want to no-exe, fine, but the ideal way to do that is to at least pretend you’re going to vote someone off to initially pressure them, and only swing to no-execution toward the end of the day.
how is it frustrated?
I would categorize it more as… daunted I think
I see you are impressed with my amazing analysis (sarcasm)
so close
With the fact the mafia must kill if we do not execute, there is little reason for us to kill and wait for the scum to make the first move.
I acknowledge a no-exe is a rather unpopular choice but given the dynamic of the setup REQUIRING the mafia to kill I think it is a path worth considering
By executing, Town is making the first move. By no-exing, we’re giving Mafia the opportunity to pick off their biggest threats before we can retaliate.
VOTE: Aleph
decent post
you can be town
That happens whether or not we execute. A competent mafia team (which we should always assume they are) will always kill their biggest perceived threat night 1 in a setup of this type.
All in all a moot point, do be better next time Magnus.
