firstly i find it weird that may and otter have experience with each other but this dynamic in the thread feels extremely one-sided. like, otter spends most of their time talking about may and may only engages with their jokes about being an alt rather than otter’s scumread of her or even discussing otter’s alignment. she literally has no mentions of them outside of a joke and putting her as a townread in this post. it’s like otter keeps clinging to may and may just wants them to disappear, like she is trying to keep their engagements to a minimum almost intentionally (in this theory, out of fear of looking w/w). separately it’s just odd that may hasn’t given thoughts on the player they have experience with particularly when otter’s main content yesterday revolved around them, and their alignment has been a point of contention for most of the game
there’s also otter’s vote on magnus which i’m tinfoiling was a way of moving their vote from a partner to a villager:
like i said before, i don’t really buy that otter cared about making magnus answer arete’s question because they gave zero thoughts on his answer. likewise, they acknowledged his answer and didn’t move their vote despite the vote’s original purpose being served. if you look at otter’s content up to this point, the only read they had given was a scumread on may, and thus may was the only non-magnus vote they had justified, and yet they didn’t move back, which i think adds credence to the theory that this was just an excuse to move their vote, likely from a partner - otherwise they would have had no issue moving back?
this last point is probably just me reading into things too much, but the framing of the reason to suspect may feels significantly more toned down than, given their experience together, what i’d expect. like, the other scumreads feel intentionally prioritised over the may scumread which feels wrong given otter’s scumread of may yesterday
@May can you give me your thoughts on otter
