I see where you’re coming here Arctic and I agree with what your saying. But based on context, I feel that mafia didn’t want to risk placing otter over Magnus and knowing Neón/me town, the other voters are lemon fairy and Molly with a scum lean/null, so if one of them is mafia, I doubt otter is also mafia. But on the flip side if they’re both town, I can see how it may look bad for otter, but I think the idea is, is that mafia didn’t want to place otter over Magnus and risk themselves being in a bad light if Otter is town.
Also, something to note, that if Otter is mafia, their partners would more likely want to save her and vote on her cw Magnus in order to protect her rather than be on a vanity wagon and risk her dying.
I’ve already stated that otter isn’t with Prisma, and I don’t believe you are with ottter either for going at her in the beginning of the day.
I also town read Zorvo and have a light v read on Arête.
So from that aspect, I don’t believe Otter makes sense to be mafia if I’m correct there in terms of my town reads and disassociation.
Lol, so what do u view is alignment indicative for Eliza? Cause I also feel like their direction and reasoning for their pushes doesn’t sit right.
What makes her town versus what makes her mafia?
Additionally, why keep your cards close to your chest? I remember you were much more vocal in gravity falls especially when you felt the gamestate wasn’t going in the right direction. Especially here when it’s not many active people today, is there a reason you feel more “passive” then?
i can see the logic but i just don’t think i agree. because if you’re arguing that wolves would want to avoid being on the villager wagon that went over, this indicates that they would all be voting on vanity wagons (since your logic would also apply to the magnus wagon) but that’s not really the view that you’re pushing, i think, since you still think wolves were on magnus
depends whether the vanity voters were afk, i suppose, since otter only became an actual wagon close to the end of the day iirc. but yeah this is more or less why i think may/otter probably aren’t w/w in spite of my earlier analysis lol, since may was in fact at eod
i feel like the reasoning for her pushes is fine? most of what i would try to read eliza on would be when she decides to take action versus sitting on the sidelines (e.g. there was a recent joat10 game here where she only really did any actual analysis to get townread and save herself at eod) and how much she’s participating versus commentating - this was why i scumread her initially because she felt in commentary mode on day 1, but felt more involved today (although this was only at sod i guess). and i still think her calling the night kill weird and tinfoiling zorvo over it because he said he was scared of neon in a random post on day 1 was villagery
well, let’s see.
in my past… 3-4 towngames a wolf has died on day 1, and i was usually part of the push
this game i tunneled a villager to death, after usually Not Doing This. i don’t feel like the gamestate is going in the wrong direction but i don’t feel confident in my reads either, which is why i’m not distressed but also not being loud.
usually what happens when i’m loud and wrong on this site is wolves play towards me and my reads, and sit behind my pushes while adding fuel to the fire and taking no responsibility. this is where the “average arctic towngame” meme came from because it happened a couple times on this site, where i was aggressively wrong but no villagers were loud enough to oppose me and wolves were happy about my pushes, resulting in several miselims. if i take a backseat it shifts the onus of the game to someone else, either a villager who can bring the game in a different direction or a wolf who will provide content and risk making themselves known by pushing an agenda while they’re in the limelight. i don’t take an issue with you leading the game for this reason, and by being more careful with my reads they can’t be used against me or the village.
i was mainly just playing devil’s advocate against jarek’s reasoning that you were w/w because of seth hellbuss meta
in reality i don’t think he’s able to tunnel this convincingly as scum regardless of whether the person he’s tunneling is town or mafia
still, he could have approached it differently, e.g. giving out thoughts and planting ideas rather than trying to get discussion going. again it depends to an extent on whether the poe is correct, but i feel like so far he hasn’t really been trying to forcibly change people’s minds on anything nor has he been trying to make people double down, so it doesn’t feel like he has an agenda
So in regard to Neon’s tr on Phraze, I felt the way she was town reading her with her adamant defence when responding to Arête and I displayed that she had some confidence in a Phraze tr. yes she said “I am pocketed by the pfp” but I feel that was a semi-joke on top of her current read on Phraze since she was defending her independent of that.
I also mentioned that I liked how Phraze came into today and I had felt she had made some takes that was leaning her V, but I’d like to hear her elaborate more on those reads and what not. Especially on the you/Magnus read.
And I read over your explanation of playing passive right now and I can empathise with that arctic and it makes sense. Gives me the impression that you might be a townie trying to take in information and better evaluate the gamestate based on what happens, rather than continuing to be “agenda-y” and push things in “your favor.”
Instead of doing random people, can you ISO Eliza, Arête, May, and Otter please? I’d like to hear your opinions on those slots when you get the chance.
I mean they did push on Magnus yesterday and they have used the questions to solve certain alignments like they did with Prisma. They did with Eliza to an extent but I believe they still have a sr on Eliza.
Zorvo’s gut reads are actually pretty good
but it’d say it’s more me thinking whoever it is I voted (sorry forgot name) has decent scum equity + coming around to a townread on Zorvo than being comfortable blindly sheeping
I’m probably never comfortable completely sheeping - it’s usually when I agree but I’m too lazy to give a decent reason
also, on another note
I kind of always just ignored this before but I will say I’m not really liking all this talking down of people’s skill level and dismissing reads b/c of it
I’m probably guilty of it too to some degree but idk it just feels particularly prominent this game (from the little I have read) and I’d just rather see attacks to poor logic/reasoning over skill/ability
not singling you out in particular or anything - it’s just more of a general comment
