I claim noble with the final three pings consisting of Benguined, Chomps and Kelsier.
All three were mostly earnest about their respective abilities.
Let’s start with… Kelsier.
I claim noble with the final three pings consisting of Benguined, Chomps and Kelsier.
All three were mostly earnest about their respective abilities.
Let’s start with… Kelsier.
Kelsier was the Townsfolk Harpy and the player responsible for subjecting and terrorising others with Golllllllllllden Balls: Split or Steal!
Each Night, choose 2 players (different from last night) and Townsfolk with unique waking patterns from a Base3 script.
Contestants learn the waking patterns of one role and may pass or steal. If both split, a different role is presented; whereas if both steal, neither gains it. The first player to steal has the ability until dusk and the minigame ends.
On N1, Kelsier selected Kiiruma and Chomps. The latter immediately stole the “Monk” ability, which did nothing.
We had multiple abilities to choose from, we just chose Monk because the information roles were later rewards.
On N2, Kelsier selected Aleph (then Silviu) and Benguined. The former promptly stole the Undertaker ability, and learned Maple was the Savant. I don’t believe anyone ever discussed or realised this in detail.
On N3, Kelsier slanked and did not act. On N4, Kelsier contested Aleph and Kiiruma against each other again. Both contested for the Artist and Town Crier abilities, both of which could have been game-solving alone! Unfortunately, neither one of them had any way to know Kelsier had only submitted two abilities into the pool. Both split twice and both lost anyway. Sorry.
Chomps, Benguined. Chomps, Benguined.
Chomps was the Townsfolk Virgin with the following ability!
Each day, publicly choose a player. If the first chosen player replies to you with “I do” and is a Townsfolk, you awake with them. If they are not, you die.
This was intended as a one-shot ability, but it never really mattered either way. Chomps only attempted to marry Kiiruma and Jarek, neither of whom woke anyway.
Leaving Benguined as our Minion Klutz, as many seem to have figured out by now.
Each Night, ask a question which all players learn at dawn. A player’s incorrect response might become correct the following night.
You may tweak one word from any answer from the preceding day (within ST discretion). The recipient learns this.
In total, Benguined’s ability permitted a N2 kill when the Demon couldn’t act, which was responsible for Olm’s death; although at the time Kelsier was the intended target for evil due to their very convincing bluff. Benguined also added the Matron ability in response to the question, “which seats is the Demon in”, obfuscating Icet’s responsibility for the Traveller abilities and relatively locking them in as town for most.
Benguined also attempted to convert Chomps to the evil team with the question “which player is evil", but we didn’t enable that one for obvious reasons.
That’s our game of Lizards 2, Regrown Tail!
benguined… im so sorry.
gg
honestly i consider the fact we were even millliseconds away from a win a minor miracle
minions fumbling the win is the most bullshit ending
did i win
as soon as i realized i had to get a 5poster through endgame i tried to swap who the demon was with my second d2 question
alpeh voted way too early and people wised up
the tie would lead to noexe and then aleph would get executed
i intentionally answered myself for the question. hoping that if good let a tie happened hosts would kill me along with alephs kill
and then they just swapped the demon’s seat instead. very funny.
anyway the only other time i played botf i lost because the hosts allowed a late vote. and now i lost because they didn’t. war and hate on planet earth.
I’m so fucking happy lol.
I was so sure it was Aleph and I was right. Woo.
Ty Litten and MapleMay for listening to me
Also Litten, I wasn’t sure about Benguined being good back on D1/D2 so that’s why I asked you
i am spritiually 1-1 in botf. but i’m not sure what the win is
