In Romanian when you see a dash in a word, it’s mostly because it separates 2 parts of speech like between a verb and an indefinitive article.
Though I am being really colloquial here which is not used in basic Romanian.
There’s also a regional tense that is called More than perfect. But I am not using it properly here on purpose.
