I read a book recently which claimed the position that bleak jokes are often made when your mind draws a line of suspicion but wants to dismiss it. Like having an unmarked package show up at your door during a series of bomber attacks, you see the pattern but don’t actively want to believe it. Rather than dismissing it, just keep those factoids in mind because eventually, those obvious weird details you notice might mean something.
With all that said, I won’t be claiming any of Icet’s Demon bluffs. Mayor, Farmer, Juggler, they all kinda suck. I’ll just pick at random and hope, much more fun and can frame a Lil’ Monsta world so always a plus.
