One time a high school classmate was very insistent that I come to her birthday party at her apartment. I waited for 1-2 hours after it started since I didn’t know anyone. I went outside her block. I needed her to unlock the entry door. I called her on the phone. Didn’t pick up. I texted her. She wasn’t looking at her messages. I sat there 30 minutes, calling her and texting her a few times. No response. I went back home in embarrassment.
(She wasn’t trying to be mean. She apologized later. I guess she was just kind of dumb.)
