Still yes, because even with endless life, it doesn’t stagnate. When life reaches a point where no further advancements can be made and we enter a perpetual cycle of maintenance, which cannot feasibly occur due to the unexplored outer reaches of our galaxy and the universe, then yes.

and I have had 2 different spiders that like to swing down from the ceiling at inopportune times. like stage hazards. i cant get through to my fridge when the kitchen spider comes down

i disagree
i think humanity is eventually predestined to fall stagnant when given the opportunity, and death is the main highlight pushing people in order to do things, for at least, a considerable fraction of the population

Death exists as the ultimate deadline, but even in the present day with our current lifespans people find reasons to waste entire years doing nothing before finding something to do. Losing that inevitability would not set us wayward, it might only slow down our rate of progress in the short-term.

On the contrary, it might improve our rate of progress in the long-term, if the capabilities of our greatest researchers or writers don’t degrade over time, forcing someone else to pick up the torch and effectively start all over.

beside the obvious issues we must exclude from this issue (cell degradation, memory collapse), there is still the possibility that the stress of an infinite amount of time of an infinite amount of opportunity collapses on us overtime and leaves us into a husk of a person

for the argument that people may eventually choose to do something: that is certainly true, for some people. not all people would ever, given an infinite amount of time or opportunity to do so, admit their faults or try to dig themselves out of the hole they are in. it’s the sunk-cost fallacy, and considering what they’ve done to themselves to get there, theres nobody to help them either

it takes one bad hundred years, and with an infinite amount of time and opportunity, people will boundless begin sinking

and what will become of a world without consequence
people will be tortured for infinitum
wars will never cease because there is hardly any reason in a world without said consequences for it to stop: the only thing getting hurt or destroyed is human psyche

Sol Badguy vs Saul Goodman

This relates to the necessity of productivity. People are happy when they have something to do. Death is a motivator to do something, and the fear that “I’ll have nothing to do for the rest of my life” would certainly take a heavy toll.

I can’t speak for everyone. Hmm… give me a moment to think about this so that I don’t say something insensitive.

Finally getting around to watching death note
this shit is hella cheesy but that makes it far more enjoyable
it’s a deliberate truncation of extraneous bullshit to make sure everything goes as hard as possible

this doesnt seem to apply to the majority of the vox populi.

dehydration pride flag

I should take mannerisms from Light
I think that would make my friends get annoyed with me more easily, which is optimal

I think this is reductive. People aren’t happy with the idea of “working”, but people would certainly rather feel “productive” than otherwise. Having friends, going out places and yes, working, these all correlate positively with mental wellbeing.

an infinite amount of displeasure and pain stemming from a person would stray you away from them
you could take 60 years of someone, could you take a thousand
eventually you’ll want to stop
