I love being right, I hate being wrong. A big part of why I play mafia is exposure therapy to being wrong in a low-stakes environment, because in the past I’ve reacted really badly to being wrong, and I still have not fully been accustomed to it.
If I’m repeatedly wrong as town you will see the toll. I start to lose it more and more at every misexecution. As wolf I just play for the very next kill - I only care about getting one more misexecution before I die, and then one more, and then one more, so I will sound maximally confident about every case. As town I get really upset by repeatedly confidently suspecting town and so will sulk SO bad
