also another thing
i used to take it very personally when somebody misrepresents me or says something i disagree with and i was incapable of letting go. i needed to voice my protest, i felt like it was “cowardice” to run away. that, or to stop thinking about something that made me feel bad, i felt some kind of want to “resolve it”, and “running away = bad”. that is a very very very wrong way of thinking about it, not cowardice at all to not engage and to ignore. ignoring stuff is good. ignoring posts / people from time to time will lead you to have less conflict and stress, and its not cowardice at all to make the choice to value your time and deem opinions or people unimportant. very relevant in general, for mafia too
