Like if you take Bernie Sanders, who has a media presence, but a very poor media presence, then yes - media presence is bad. Bernie is unelectable for PotUS.

eh, nobody in the country is gonna have more political presence than a sitting prez/vp
and if that bar was actually that high we’d just have a string of VP->prez for all time
like sure if it’s a literal nobody maybe that’s an issue but if it’s like newsom or whitmer or somebody they didn’t exactly win election for state governor and become popular in their state for lack of media presence

republicans tried the exact thing you were saying of speedrunning becoming a household name with good presence and people like vivek and nicki haley failed at that miserably
