that’s kinda what i do at family gatherings, although it’s a bit different cuz i kinda know those people even if i don’t see them very often, but i usually find the people my age who are awkwardly standing around by themselves and it ends up being chill

Yeah. I feel this. I think this is a trans thing too. Like you’re hyper aware of how others might perceive you and you carefully present yourself to them in a way you think they’ll find acceptable even if it’s not the real you at all.
