Colin Kaepernick would like to disagree. Literally the best QB by far to be both let go and not picked up as a free agent. Like he wasn’t even close to being a player that a team wouldn’t want as their starting QB. At the time he was good.

another fun fact I know about US sports is repeatedly the best predictor for when a sport will become gender segregated is when women start beating men and not the other way around. baseball used to let women play until the day after a woman struck out babe ruth
