I’ve been playing Kai mostly as a scorer tbh
in this case, that makes sense - they just got the core from there as the rasmus was pushing and passed it to the zentaro (dodging the rasmus’s own zone of control to do so, as well as the estelle’s [which would normally prevent that pass directly but we assumed she was on cooldown])
so some overlap is acceptable
RASMUS SWEEP
but if the era were to, like, choose to go stand on the dubu’s head now, dubu’s entire zone of control would be contained within the era’s
by doing this, she might think she’s helping the dubu, but in actuality she just gave up literally an entire character’s worth of the field to the opponents’ control
the issue with taking two characters who are trying to fulfill the same role between forward and midfield is essentially the same - the more they want to be in the same place, the more their zones of control overlap, and the less total zone of control the team has
Yeah ok that makes sense
this is why, even when you see teams run double midfield, you’ll usually see one be mostly dedicated to go play more forward as more of a scorer
and on Demon Dais, a map that supports double brawler comps, you’ll usually see one play more midfieldy
they can also trade off more easily in these types of cases based on things like who has cooldowns up or their current health or whatever
but in general you really don’t wanna be too close together
Frequently Amelia will play Estelle/finii and I will play Rasmus or Juliette or sometimes drekar
Tbh it is kind of effective but I should me more mindful of the positioning bite
This is useful
we still need a goalie tho
I won’t ever move into the goal box ftr just not in a good position to accept passes
Noted
the worst case of this is having your whole team in the goal box
consider the following zones of control and tell me what you think the problem is
green team:
red team:
GREEN TEAM WHEN THEY WILL NEVER SCORE GOALS
If green team was playing more effectively I think they might be able to sneak it past red team and then the goal is basically undefended unless Kai has a shit ton of dash awakenings
Not sure if this is correct
we assume the kai isn’t throwing by moving up this aggro without cooldowns (which is a safe assumption because there is nobody on his half of the field he’d need to have used a cooldown on)
