edelgard is only capable of seeing two solutions to her issues

murder and war

she is incapable of ever even considering any other option

sobbing

(To be clear I’m joking around and not legit trying to end Fire Emblem discussion. However it’s official Fortress of Lies stance that Vriska did nothing wrong, so please work that into your belief system while you continue to use this website)

and she can’t even blame her tragic backstory because everyone else with a backstory just as tragic or even more tragic is far less utterly illogical

just an utterly unlikable character

so true

like CF is actually the bad ending (of what I’ve played, my understanding is that VW is the good ending tho so that only leaves SS and even that apparently at least addresses the most evil faction in the game whereas CF doesn’t whatsoever)

I played it immediately after AM hoping it would help make some sense of why Edelgard acted like she did and no there’s still no good reason gg

at least it’s less frustrating than the ending of VC4?

Summary

Dimitri literally wants to kill her

Like hello?

Summary

Claude sans Byleth is barely able to keep the Alliance under control and even maintains a stance of neutrality in the war at times. It’s hard to say he really gives all that much of a shit.

But across the board, voters said that they saw Wyldstyle’s rebel persona as being fraudulent. Have you seen the leaked electoral maps that her campaign predicted if she’d continued to distance herself from Everything Is Awesome?

and whose fault is that?

that’s born of a misconception that Edelgard could disprove but instead chooses to not because it makes killing people easier

that’s her campaign

…the same advisors who insisted vitruvius could run despite him clearly being too old and mentally fried for the job. those advisors. no wonder people saw her rebel persona as fraudulent, if she actually cared she would’ve fired them day 1
