Why do I try time and time again to read Wind

So they claim to only skim 10 of Leafia’s post (and corroborates this multiple times through the day), and spit out a townread. Then they keep being very hedgy in both directions, saying this:
But at the same time continuing to defend Leafia with posts like these:
The worst part is they seem to be aware of themselves not being great about their defense of Leafia:

and yet they spend a good portion of D1 defending Leafia for… not much of a good reason.

@Leafia to answer your question for me, as I said earlier it isn’t that I think you’ve posted super towny things but I don’t think you’ve posted anything that I would said nails you into your scum meta. At worst, it’s NAI, but I don’t see anything from you that makes me think “no way this can’t be town”.
So, yes, it’s a bit early for me to jump in and say I think you’re town, since nothing points super clearly in that direction either, but as I have also mentioned, I just think it’s funny if I challenge the thread consensus calling you a wolf, because it will always spark some sort of discussion.
This sorta-defense just because they “wanted to go against thread consensus” feels a) performative and 2) somewhat TMI-y. They aren’t really doing anything or broadening their reads based on their semi-read on Leafia (something they said they would do since their Leafia read was to get people talking about them), and just softly defending them the entire time.
Then we get to the “I’ll most definitely bus Leafia” portion:
This kinda chainsaws into why they scumread Marl, for supposedly not being able to catch onto this. I’ll talk about this more in the “Marl” section, but this self-meta is by no means a reason to suddenly jump to Marl.

Starts with a “lmao they suck at reading Leafia”
This coy little act calling them towny but not at the same time just feels incredibly hedgy, and if Windward was partnered with Marl would explain their unwillingness to bus a strong teammate D1.
Then they explain their read like this:
In this part they seem to give a couple reasons on Marl, but if you look closely the only point that they actually wolfread Marl on is their interaction with Leafia. And as this as a turning point, they start fixating on this one argument and they start to dig it.

I wouldn’t expect him to be correct on any of us that early, but I do know that he tends to see Leafia and Wazza as scummy regardless of their alignments when he’s town, and I know he often reads my early posts as scummy when he’s town, but that he tends to tunnel Leafia and Wazza but can usually find me as town later on from my posts.
This switch between “idk about marl” to fixating on this one thing feels quite abrupt and unnatural - in some posts they claim there are still some good things about Marl:
But they really don’t talk about the different facets and just keep focusing on that one interaction with Leafia/Marl. This feels way too narrow, and it feels like Windward has the goal of “attack Marl” and is doing things to compensate for it; this would mean that they have a bussing agenda with Marl.
Arsonist talk
This is the one thing that they have good going for them, but I think at this point w!Windward would have been in full bus mode, meaning they would have supported trusting eevee and killing Marl.

Wazza (only for tagging me and then asking why I don’t have a read on her yet, and I know she does that as town, but I also know that she knows I tend to hold off on reading her immediately or even for a day or two - because of the dumb thing where we either rand opposite alignments and the wolf tries to pocket the villa, or we rand town together and tunnel the fuck out of each other. this was a tangent but tl;dr it’s complicated lol)

The explanation thing is the way this forum tends to handle my slot. If I don’t give reads I get scumread, if I give reads without explanations I get scumread, and if I give explanations when asked I also get scumread. Its more like I am pissed off by the fact that people on this forum always expect me to do work in the game or else I am automatically scum. I have attempted to slank as town because I wanted to dial back my activity and effort level, and got wolfread for it. If I tryhard as town I tend to get correctly towncleared. If I tryhard as wolf I do get wolfread but also survive for longer than if I slank. It’s more like I am hyperaware of how the vast majority FoLers view my meta and I will always attempt to do things that make me townread, regardless of alignment, but I will be much more likely to tryhard when asked regardless of alignment and give all explanations even if it ruins an RT or something, because of that assumption that I will always be scumread if I don’t explain literally everything I am doing.
TL;DR:
Their Leafia read feels performative and TMI-y, they claim it’s to make people talk about their slot but they haven’t really expanded their reads on Leafia other than for Marl. End effect is just having soft-defended Leafia.
Their hyperfixation on Marl misreading the Leafia/Windward interaction feels as if there is an external motive behind it, bussing would be an excellent one.
Their reaction to eevee wanting to kill Marl does feel towny, but can also be explained by bussing.
