From my perspective, multi-voting is a hedging strategy when you’ve narrowed things down between a couple of options: you spurn the opportunity of a higher score to get more consistent results. The main concern, as I understand it, is that people will do this en masse, and I think the benefits for this strategy fall off rapidly.
I’m gonna cap the number of ALIASes you can guess a player to be at three. It draws a solid balance of maintaining player agency while preventing things from becoming Survivor.
For unsubmitted ALIASes, I’m adding a penalty of 2 guesses if you don’t get it in before round start (you start with the assumption that you’ve been guessed correctly twice). If you don’t get it in by round end, then I assume that every living player has correctly guessed you.
My main concern is that I don’t want people to view not submitting as a possible strategy, but I also don’t want it to be a death sentence because accidents happen, and people have lives.
Both of these will only take place from Round 2 onwards.
Very much open to balancing both of these further.
