Hide and Seek - Zugzwang and Atlas win!

a modified GLIP that has an alternative form of punishment is possible but it cant exist in its current form

Marshal, yes we can. The purpose was to guess a different player for each alias, not the same player for every alias from how I understood it. No guessing the same pllayer for two different aliases.

That’s the mission statement of GLIP, although the official actions was to prevent others from guessing multiple.

I am still going to guess 1/player, but GLIP as an enforcement agency is null

So as I understood it, GLIP can easily still exist.

ik i didn’t vote but will say ftr i followed the rules of it anyway if anyone cared

I’m guessing a different player for each alias. Always was. Always will. No point in even playing otherwise in my book.

yes, but not with current bylaws, because current bylaws necessitate mass guessing a player in retaliation for rules violations.

Can’t change the bylaws and hold people to a rule set they didn’t sign up for. If you want to chair a new GLIP, feel free. Id likely join

It’s pretty difficult not to, after Ash removed the strategy.

Oh yeah. Forgot about that part.

@Ash Can you allow mass guessing of someone only if they join GLIP and break the rules of GLIP? Since it would be a chouce the person made that they didn’t follow through on?

Please remember this game still follows the Forum Rules, and asking specific action from the moderators does go against that.

i already had my preliminary votes before he removed it

It does? Where does it say that in the forum rules?

GLIP is an entirely player made thing, that would be adding an entirely new mechanic.

Although I respect the grind because i do hope GLIP makes it in some form

Read the attempting to pressure part. Asking them politely to make a change isn’t pressuring. Not taking no for an answer though would fall under pressuring.

Hmmm, you have a point there honestly.

No.
Hard rule is that nothing carries mechanical weight. You can convince people to join a pact, you can ask people to promise not to do stuff, but when it comes down to the votes and ALIASes, I won’t bind them to any deals they’ve made.

Fair enough. I’ll respect that. Thanks for the prompt reply.

Hmmm, new idea. Postgame, we have a party for the members of GLIP that followed the rules of GLIP. No punishment for breaking the rules except they won’t be invited to the aftergame party.
