Maybe not so recent but definitely not a few years. Unless time flies that fast. After that hazbin hotel purgatory - a lot of people derp cleared themselves as town due to role PM shenanigans. And then Chloe made an official rule that there needs to be 24 hour period minimum between receiving role and game starting. before that games could start earlier, and ive seen it happen too, iirc

I am letting this meta discussion a pass, what is important is to privately vote who is likely going to be attacked, that will act as pseudo green check.

When it is Day 2, remember when I did un Owl House FM is to have everyone announce for Titan power? This must happen the same in case no one got attacked then it is important to get everyone to reveal their private votes whom they opt to be protected that Night 1 for instance.

Will anyone agree to this?

I don’t know, without a strategist, mafia don’t really need to communicate N0. With a bad chemistry, it is possible, they wouldn’t even come up strategies that early (or at all). It is rare, but mafia chat could be even more silent than the actual thread.

I almost think the protection votes only hurt discussion. If we woke up with no kills, it’s true that the most voted player would be confirmed town; but not knowing who that is, we’d need to account for multiple different players sending votes in different directions, Mafia could be lying to skew the results elsewhere, a successful vote par one scratches every single voter there as not the Neapolitan… this is why sending one or two at most is better than, like, five I think.

Again, as host: I feel like I haven’t seen enough Mafia-aligned players utilize the full extent of those 24 hours. It really depends on the scumteam, but I wouldn’t say for certain Luna townslipped.

Nah. 24 hours of Night 0 gives hosts a check on how many people are actually paying attention to the game. (It’s essentially a free activity-check.) ((It’s rather unfortunate what happened to Anonygoose / Hippo though.))
