Everyone who played a game and lost agreed to follow through except two people - one who caught on that the others were cheating (justified) and one who lost fair and square but decided to fuck them over anyway. He took the 66% chance to survive to proceed, the others would have sacrificed themselves, thats why its scummy. He was always getting eliminated, but he just eliminated them for no reason

Its like borrowing money from friends and not returning them coz theres no direct benefit to you. The point is youre breaking a social contract between you and your friends / acquitances, not strangers or MrBeast
Its like betting 10 dollars on a game of poker with friends, losing, and refusing to pay them. It’s not a sacrifice to pay money for a lost game/bet

I’ve watched video essays on criticizing Mr Beast Squid Games. Seems you can just bribe people with 200.000$ in exchange for an entire row of people falling down a shoot (dispensable much?)
the best part of the entire mr beast squid game thing is that he saw squid game being a critique of what people are willing to do for money and how it destroys people and their morals and decided “I want to do that.”
