realistically i probably take the half-mill because, like. money can’t by happiness but it can buy me the security to care for myself and others

Lots of old people are living happy and fulfilling lives? You wouldn’t take twenty goddamn years because oh I’d be old. Well first of all you don’t fucking know that

i don’t like lifespan extending stuff because like. what if it takes effect when i’m like. 90. and have nothing left to live for

if abolishing the monarchy is off the table, i genuinely feel that’s the best option, i take the half-million. also i don’t need 20 more years because i’m never going to die

ok BUT consider. some people* probably think “hmmmmmmm being old feels bad. wouldn’t it be nice to die unexpectedly instead”

*this is a thought I have sometimes

its kind of like sun wukong. like yeah yeah i went into the blessed pot of eight trigrams and became immortal but i already ate the fruit of immortality so it was kind of wasted

Okay first of all I feel like I have to establish that I already have a large portion of the issues that come with being old so like being old would not affect my will to live whatsoever

but now you’re double immortal…

average yearly salary in bulgaria is $22200. in 20 years thats 444000. so about half a mil. but i have to work for 20 years or i can get it instantly now

And it’s kind of insane to me that people say it would? Like it makes me very confused as to the state of the life of hte people around me

tbh this does probably also add average lifespan but likely not by 20 years

…n? Dutch?

If you’re in a field where you can build a stable career then 20 extra years likely means not making average salary but Very Experienced Person salary

i think you would not be affected by several problems other people believe you would be affected by

it’s like that trust tell game, i want instant benefits not delayed gratification

for me i think it’s like. yeah i’ll still love life but also if i start losing my memories i would rather die

Also 20 years added to your lifespan implies ~decent health during those years because you’ll never be about-to-die
