The only thing gas is better, that you donā€™t have to wait for it to get warmā€¦ the food literally taste the same either you making on gas stove or induction table.

A peeler touching a potato doesnt sound different to me than a knife being used to chop an onion and then me eating the inside onion bits that touched the knife without me washing them after :stuck_out_tongue: or like any other fruit and vegetable. I dont think metal utensils are a risk after you wash them. The risk is like, from the dirt from the outside world, so for potatoes its the skin. And if you wanna wash the starch too thats fine too for flavor and texture, i dont mind the starch though i like it

In primary school my educator was teaching the class about bullying, shunning, backtalking and in one of the hypothetical insults she came up with was ā€œstove eyesā€. At the time I was taking it for granted, oh maybe thereā€™s some mean bullies that call other people ā€œstove eyesā€.

But right now, is this what they meant??? Your eyes look like the ā€œelectric eyesā€ of the stove.

I wash any other fruit or vegetable after I peel them, and it was already established that I donā€™t eat raw onionsā€¦

Cooking on them is more satisfying. Im personally content with induction coz it really is cheaper / energy efficient, and also a bit less risky. My neighbor started a fire with his gas stove. Its kinda hard to start a fire with induction. But purely for entertainment while cooking - it does feel so much more fun to be looking at a real fire

Wait after you chop them? So if you slice a tomato in bits, you wash every tomato bit?

I donā€™t think so, especially after you succesfully burned down a part of the kitchen. (Well, it technically wasnā€™t me, but I was the closest to the stove when it happenedā€¦)

Hey so, story of my life. Back in my town we have one ex-vice mayor that was working with fire tools (the ones that fissures? and causes sparkles) next to their gas tankā€¦ It caught on fireā€¦ he evacuatedā€¦ and the ground shook so hard that even I could feel it and I thought it was another earthquake (at the time my zone was having sudden swarm earthquakes).
Then dad looked out the window and saw heavy smokeā€¦

How do you burn a kitchen with an induction stove i think it takes a special kind of talent :sob::sob::sob:

Like ā€¦ The heat caused something else to set on fire maybe? Coz it literally produces no fire on its own

Obviously not for the tomatoes, and other juicy foods.

But tomatoes can be eaten as apple, so why would you want to cut them into pieces anyway?
