i like strategic fighting, planning and figuring whats best or worse, but i also love some mindless button mashing the number going up feels good multiple dopamine hits directly to the brian
ya
Also one of my favorite tropes tbh, or u start the game with every resource youll get, you get into a boss fight, and then you start back from square 1 after seeing what u will become
real
i really like xcoms sort of simplified turn system, but combined with the strategy of the chance based hit system. like being able to plan my turn around the 90% chance hit, that then MISSES, and then having to adjust is soooo fun. i think the reason i like xcom way more in this aspect than something like bg3 is bc in bg3 your team is potentially super split up turn order wise so you dont really get that feeling of âoh shit what do I do nowâ bc ur were sorting waiting to react to the enemy turn already (theres also like, very few 70% or higher chance to hits in bg3 it feels like compared to xcom)
also the other side of the split with sincerely yours is really good as well
i do like where turns are taken at the same time but say one of your unit finishes what their action was in that time it can then act again
my new car comes tomorrow!! super excited
canât wait to not be able to drive it because my insurance hasnât sent the tab quick enough

the privilege of bladesinger 5e people is insane
and they have the gall to complain that there arenât incentives to go into melee
like bro you are:
- a full caster
- int on attack and damage rolls (your main stat)
- int to AC and also to concentration checks
- a significantly superior extra attack to MARTIAL CHARACTERS
and you want:
- free weapon mastery
- more damage scaling for your attacks
this shit stupid
damn bro I feel so bad that you get a resource that turns you into a better martial character for more than half your fights per day (and probably more than that if youâre playing at most tables) so you donât have to think about using your spell slots resourcefully
itâs so restricting and I canât fulfill my character fantasy of [character who is amazing at everything]
the annoying thing is that wotc turbobuffed bro
true
bladesinger was never going to fully âworkâ independent of being a wizard without moving power budget from base class
subclasses are exclusively additive
if you want the swordmage to be truly both sword and mage you would design a class from ground up to make it work
solutions like turbobuff the melee aspects make an already overloaded class overloaded
/rant over
Can a Bladesinger empower their melee attacks with their spells a la a Sorcerorâs Metamagic?
I believe there are a couple of wizard spells that add a rider damage effect to weapon attacks
I will add a disclaimer that bladesinger very much has to be this overloaded to make âgoing into meleeâ on a class with no base armor proficiency feel good at all
actually was going to agree fungers combat is fun getting more used to it
like its crazy ina fun way
