This would force setups that need changes to get changes before they’re actually run
I do plan to eventually permanently cancel games that are cancelled “too many” times (i.e., 2~3 times), so I guess I’m fine with this idea.
As for the changes: IDEK where to begin with that. I can’t exactly change anything if I don’t get any feedback from the people who wish for change in my setups.
(Except Stratagem-17. IIRC I didn’t wish to change anything about that setup, even if it means it will never be run.)
yeah i think having the setups where its possible be public in some way before the game begins is a good idea if we’re gonna decide based on fill potential
Maybe we have each host write a sentence blurb on the kind of game it is?
This is much easier to do for Miscs than it is for actual mafia games, but it’s an option.
maybe we should ditch the pretense and fully pivot to a social media site
i miss the old-school zone:
Like, I would describe the game I’m making as, “Chaotic mech-heavy role madness inspired by Singers FM”.
how does this work for closed setups
i do generally think in order to fill these days closed setups have to have a hook in the OP but
this is unironically one of the cleanest mafia OPs and i value it. KISS (keep it simple stupid) - important principle for successful game design. pokemon pocket made 200 million in one month and the gameplay is very simple. complexity through simplicity. mountainous and basic pr setups are the most played setups. complexity through simplicity. basic roles doesnt lead to basic games. mafia is a socially complex game. complexity through simplicity → provide simple tools so that the game gets complex via social interactions. those are imo the best setups and most played
what does that entail
“this setup is very good u should play it plzz trust”
is this what you base your personality off
hahaha
a sneak peek at what makes the setup unique
Something like this, in essence.
I generally turn it into its own section which seems to be more effective
Zones games have them but there’s no detail so idk
Well, kinda
they usually say stuff like that anyway
More often than not it’s just an explanation of a mechanic in plain language
