Zorvo isn’t exactly the worse person to be picked for investigative check.
The problem is that he’s too loud D1 so whatever reason you can think about this, he would rather stay idle.
Plus this whole beguiler thing is unexpected, plenty of theory.

You’re paired with Hippo because you avoided drawing much attention to their slot while still trying not to ignore them (distancing without focus), and Hippo has treated you in much the same way.
