In particular I think that the sort of L1 “May is clearly a villager because he’s acting contradictory and spontaneous” is a stronger townread for the people who don’t know me well, like other than you and tutuu, whereas “I’m a good player and you’re townreading me for stupid reasons shut up” is one that tends to make people who don’t know you well feel out of their depth in townreading you and just put you down to null

This one I think? (First readlist i found and I don’t really like it) particularly like the latter half feels weird which could mean thee upper half is weird, like I’m vaguely ok with you being up there; unsure about leaia but then chomps & derps both seeed fine… and then like ishmael just doesn’t feel on the same level as brad and while that could be a “one has posted + formatting issue” it just.
like yeah they explained it in #254 & i probably could argue against the specific traits but just like looking at it feels wrong

I didn’t have many until Ash’s readslist and May, and not realtiming with May probably makes it a lot harder
The posting I’m doing right now is not the kind of stuff that makes people feel confident in townreading you. It makes them feel like you’re on like 2,000 layers of irony and so it makes them hesitate to put you in any strong spot on their readlist. I try to be more digestible when I’m a wolf. People actually don’t like letting skilled players live, they try to exercise power against skilled players because they’re scared.

Eh this isn’t broadly true. There’s a lot of groups of players you can intimidate out of ever executing you by presenting yourself as way more skilled than them - you can get 'em to go “well if turnip is a wolf we’ve lost already” and that’s when you win. But FoL is marginally better than this. They’ll execute me or Arctic or whoever. Usually not D1, but later in the gmae
